TTG reports that Taiwan Health minister Chen Shih-chung said in an interview with the Taipei Times that March could see the island ease its strict 2-week quarantine requirement. Although Taiwan has never fully shut its borders during COVID, its blanket quarantine requirement has meant that arrivals have been limited to citizens and residents. The proposed reduction to a 10-day quarantine is not expected to create a spike in tourism, but indicates a trend towards travel normalization.
