TTG Asia reports that most key markets in southeast Asia are implementing or continuing plans to open at least limited international tourism. Among the programs are Singapore’s Vaccination Travel Lane set to start on September 8, allowing tourists from Germany and Brunei to enter without quarantine. Malaysia is planning to re-open Langkawi in September for domestic only as part of its National Tourism Recovery Plan, while Indonesia hopes to open Nusa Dua, Sanur, and Ubud on Bali, and the northern part of Bintan to international tourism soon. Vietnam will test a vaccine passport program for international visitors to the Phu Quoc island by the end of the year, while Cambodia has reached 90% vaccination according to a representative, paving the way to a December 2021 opening.
