Inquiries from German travelers on OTA platforms are up, suggesting that the new Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) for visitors from Germany will be a success. Length of stay of inquiries is also up, according to OTA spokespersons. Additionally, the German Embassy said that it has experienced a “constantly high volume of queries” from interested travelers and travel agencies since the VTL announcement. The Singapore Hotel Association has added a VTL page on its website, while hotel groups including Pan Pacific and Wyndham have made statements in line with expectations for increases in German inbound travel.
