Türkiye Touristic Rental of Residence Permit Certificate

What are the changes?

On 1 January 2024, Law no. 7464 on short term rentals took effect in the Republic of Türkiye.

This law requires partners renting entire residential properties for less than 100 nights to obtain a Permit Certificate for Touristic Rental of Residence from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (“Konutun Turizm Amaçlı Kiralanmasına Ilişkin İzin Belgesi”).

To comply with Law no. 7464, you are required to provide Agoda with your permit number or altern

How to provide your registry number

You may provide this information on YCS by following these steps:

Sign in to YCS. If you manage multiple properties, select it from Listings.
Go to Property >> Rental license
Under License type, choose one of the following options from the drop-down menu:
- If you have obtained a permit, please select “Permit under Turkish Law No. 7464”, input your permit number in the required field.
- If you are exempted from obtaining a permit, please select “Exempted from Rental License”.
Click save.

What happens if I don’t provide my permit number?

Listing your property without permit number may lead to fines to you and/or Agoda from the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Law no. 7464 requires online travel platforms to display hosts’ permit numbers on their platform after 2 June 2024. If you do not provide your permit number to Agoda or alternatively confirm that you are exempted from obtaining a permit, we will remove your listing from our platform until we receive your permit number or confirmation of exemption.

What should I do if my property if exempt from Law no. 7464?

If your property is exempted, please confirm your exemption on YCS as outlined above.

What happens if I share my information after the deadline?

After the deadline, your listing will be removed from our platform. We will display your listing again after we receive your permit number or confirmation of exemption.
