Agoda Dynamic Rates Webinar Recap & Summary
Thank you for joining our ADR+ webinar! We’re excited to share key highlights and additional details with you.
With global travel on the rise, Agoda is well-positioned to capture this growth through strategic initiatives and partnerships. A major focus is on B2B and Affiliate partners, our primary sources of third-party supply. In our latest webinar, we introduced Agoda Dynamic Rates+ (ADR+), a program designed to match third-party rates on Agoda inventory, increasing the competitiveness of direct inventory and driving more bookings.
Key Benefits of ADR+:
In our webinar, we shared the results of a Dubai property that participated in ADR+, showing how ADR+ generates significant increases in direct share and revenue after joining.
When we polled attendees during the webinar, many of our attendees said their production comes from third-party supply, making ADR+ a product that could be very beneficial for them.
FAQ
How to identify the Agoda Dynamic Rates+ (ADR+) bookings?
- The booking will be created under the rate channel “Agoda Dynamic Rates”.
Can ADR+ be activated together with other programs such as AGP or AGX?
- Yes, ADR+ can be activated along with all other programs.
Does Agoda apply commission to the ADR+ rate?
- ADR+ compares direct Agoda net room rates, which is subject to your current commission level, vs the third-party rates and makes the adjustment if the third-party rate is better to convert the booking to be direct booking with will provide a higher revenue to our hotel partners.
Will ADR+ rates show up on the Agoda?
- Yes, the ADR+ adjusted net rate will be computed and displayed as the sell rate on our Agoda platform.
Does it require any additional room or rate plan settings from the hotel side?
- ADR+ is hassle-free—no additional settings are required to join the ADR+ program.
How often are rates compared and adjusted?
- ADR+ compares the rate at the real time search level. The adjustment will only be applied when there is a better third-party rate found at that time. This means if there is no third-party rate available or the Agoda rate is better, then there will be no ADR+ adjustment.
Why are there third-party rates and bookings in the first place?
- Third-party rates and bookings are already available on online platforms like Agoda, so it’s unlikely that the direct Agoda rates and bookings will be booked when there are better rates. ADR+ is the product designed to support you with this matter, it consolidates it and pass it directly to you as direct bookings with higher revenue.
What if the third-party doesn’t have a mark-up or undercuts their rate?
- This may happen in rare cases, however it’s not commonly expected. Even if this happens, the property’s average rate from ADR+ would generally still be higher than what would be received from third party-bookings.
Would the name of the third-party supplier be shared?
- Due to confidentiality, we can’t share the third-party name. However, you can reach out to your Agoda representative for more details about the reference rate we use for the ADR+ adjustment.
