Below are the main property types and how to recognize them:
Hotel-type property
A hotel-type property is a commercial establishment providing accommodation, meals, and shared guest services and is typically owned and managed solely by the operator. All room options are managed under a single listing (one property page), and guests can book multiple rooms in one booking.
You might have a hotel-type property if:
- You operate a hotel, hostel, ryokan, serviced apartment, resort, or villa with multiple rooms or units under one listing.
- Guests can choose from different unit types (room types) and book multiple units at once.
Example scenario:
- You run “ABC Hotel Bangkok,” with room types like “Standard Double Room,” “Deluxe Twin Room,” and “Family Suite.”
Multi-unit home
A multi-unit home is when you manage multiple units or rooms under a single listing (one property page). These units or rooms may be located at the same address, apartment, complex, or small building (like a minsu or homestay). These are grouped into different unit types (room types) on your listing, and guests can book more than one unit in a single booking.
You might have a multi-unit home if:
- You have several units or rooms at the same location, and they are all listed together.
- Guests can choose from different unit types (room types) and book multiple units at once.
Example scenarios:
- You have 10 units in an apartment building, all under one listing, such as “Sky Residence by ABC Home,” with room types like “1BR Apartment,” “Studio Apartment,” and “2BR Family Suite.” You do not own or operate the entire apartment building.
- You run a minsu called “Happy Minsu Taipei,” with room types like “Twin Room” and “Double Room with Balcony.”
Single-unit home
A single-unit home is a property where each bookable unit or room is managed as a separate listing (property page). This includes apartment units, landed houses, tents, or villas. Each listing represents one entire unit or room, and guests can only book one unit per booking.
You might have a single-unit home if:
- You manage several units in an apartment building or at different locations, and each is listed separately.
- Each unit has its own property page and booking calendar.
Example scenarios:
- You have 20 apartment units, each with its own listing, such as “Cozy 1BR Apartment at Sky Residence in City Center.”
- You list a villa as “Luxury Villa with Private Pool, Chiang Mai.”
