Financial Times: Flight Cancellations In USA Reflect Labor Issues
The Financial Times reports that US airlines are grappling with uncertainty over how many seats to make available for the year-end holiday period. Lingering disruptions from COVID-19 have left airlines short on labor that was laid off in 2020, and has not yet been fully replaced. October 2021 has already seen more flight cancellations than any previous October among the four largest US carriers, though some of that was due to unusual weather.
