Changing the property listing name for hotel-type property and multi-unit homes 

To change the name of your property listing, please contact us directly. All requested changes will be reviewed for approval to ensure the new name aligns with the one used on your business license and certificate. After approval, the updated property name may take up to 24 hours to appear on Agoda. 

Keep these best practices in mind if you’re making changes to your name: 

• Align with the official name of the property in English, up to 100 characters. 
• Include branch names or nearby attractions (e.g., “near Universal Orlando”). 
• Include special qualities (e.g., “SG Clean Certified”). 
• Mention policies that apply to all bookings (e.g., “Adults Only”). 
• Highlight appealing features (e.g., “Pet-friendly”). 
• Include former names for up to 6 months after a change. 
• Capitalize the first letter of each word in the name and avoid all caps unless official (non-English characters are not allowed). 
• Avoid symbols unless official and do not use brackets. 
• Do not include contact info, promotions, or general details like check-in time. 

Acceptable Examples

• Hotel Mount Manor near Chennai Airport: Mentions nearby attraction.
• Bay Area Suites Manila – Quarantine Hotel: Mentions hotel condition.
• Hotel Anges etoile – Adult Only: Mentions hotel policy.
• Mimosa Resort: Unlimited Access to TTC World: Mentions hotel offer.
• Hotel Welco Narita – Formerly Mercure Hotel Narita: Mentions old name.

Unacceptable Examples

• ABC Hostel – 50% off!: Mentions promotion.
• Honey Duck Villa (085-123-4567): Includes contact info and brackets.
• HOTEL SIDHARTHA (600 meters from Taj Mahal): Uses brackets and location information is too specific.
• Sare Hotel Yogyakarta (Muslim Friendly): Uses brackets; should use a dash instead.

Changing the property listing name for single-unit homes 

1. Sign in to YCS. If you manage multiple properties, select it from Listings. 
2. Go to Property >> Description. 
3. Edit the property name. 
4. Click Save. 

Your property name should make your accommodation sound appealing while accurately reflecting what guests can expect. Here are some tips to help you create an attractive name: 

• Highlight special features of the property such as an oceanside view, location near an important landmark, or amenities such as free Wi-Fi. 
• Use specific adjectives that appeal to travelers: luxury, eclectic, Insta-worthy, spacious, rare, green, glamorous, secluded, renovated, peaceful, or contemporary. Avoid using generic adjectives such as great, nice, and good. 
• Avoid using all capital letters. 
• Feel free to use abbreviations such a w/ (with), BR (bedroom), BA (bathroom), APT (apartment), AC (air conditioning), or DT (downtown).
