The Straits Times reports that Singapore has already approved 2,322 applications from Germany and Europe in the 16 days since the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) was officially opened. Under the rules of the VTL, fully vaccinated tourists receiving WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines will not have to undergo quarantine or stay-at-home periods upon arrival in Singapore. However, up to four PCR-type tests will be required during their stay. While the new VTL is not expected to immediately generate large numbers of tourists, it does represent a step towards their new macro policy of living with the COVID-19 virus rather than aiming for a zero-infection rate.
