Travel Daily Media reports that forecasted growth in South Korea’s outbound tourism economy puts it on pace to become the third largest in Asia Pacific by 2025, according to GlobalData research. Over 80% of this tourism takes place within the APAC region, making it a prime target for marketing by other APAC members. The high use of social media by tourists from South Korea, as well as the use of technology to make bookings, suggest that digital strategies will be key to attracting this market.
