Agoda has partnered with Save the Children to support children and their families affected by the continued COVID-19 lockdowns across New South Wales and Victoria.
Agoda will be donating $15 for each booking made under the vaxxed to go campaign (up to a maximum of $13,500) towards Save the Children Educational Activity Packs to support children‘s continued learning and emotional wellbeing.
With increased and protracted lockdowns in Victoria and NSW, Save the Children is seeing increase in demand with families for developmentally appropriate in-home activities that support learning through play. In some areas other services are struggling to keep up with demand or have stopped delivering services at together; so Save the Children has been asked to step in to support.
Educational Activity Packs provide a crucial resource for stretched parents who are experiencing increased responsibilities during stay-at-home orders and help to give children a sense of “normal”, since many of the activities mirror what they would being doing at their weekly face-to-face playgroup. The also help to give children a sense belonging which is important for children to feel safe, supported and able to learn.
$15 can buy an Educational Activity Pack tailored to a child’s age group including items such as educational toys and games, activity sheets, sensory items and reading books.
Save the Children is the world’s leading independent organisation for children, working in Australia for more than 100 years to make sure all children and young people are set up for success, wherever they are and whatever their circumstances.
