Allowing instant booking or requiring reservation requests
You can choose to accept bookings instantly with Book instantly, or you can require reservation requests with Request to book.
- Sign in to YCS. If you manage multiple properties, select it from Listings.
- Go to Rates and availability >> Booking settings.
- Choose how guests can book your property, then confirm your selection.
Request to book allows you 24 hours to accept or reject a booking but may reduce the number of bookings you receive. Learn more about Request to book here.
Setting the cancellation policy for your property
- Sign in to YCS. If you manage multiple properties, select it from Listings.
- Go to Rates and availability >> Booking settings.
- Select your cancellation policy from the dropdown, then click Save.
When more than one cancellation policy can apply to a booking, we use a defined set of rules to determine which one takes effect.
- If your property offers EasyCancel, EasyCancel will always apply.
- If EasyCancel is not offered, the strictest cancellation policy from any applicable Essential promotions will apply.
- If EasyCancel is not offered and the booking does not include a Seasonal or Essential promotion, the strictest cancellation policy among applicable Targeted promotions and the property policy set on Booking settings will apply.
Limiting how far in advance guests can book
You can set how many days before check-in a guest can book your property. This gives you more control over your calendar, helps you stay flexible for personal plans or property maintenance, and lets you adjust pricing or availability as needed.
- Sign in to YCS. If you manage multiple properties, select it from Listings.
- Go to Rates and availability >> Booking settings.
- Set the maximum lead time.
- Click Save.
Requiring advanced notice before check-in
You can require guests to book in advance in the case you need time to prepare your property for each guest, coordinate cleaning or maintenance, or to better manage your schedule.
- Sign in to YCS. If you manage multiple properties, select it from Listings.
- Go to Rates and availability >> Booking settings.
- Set the advance notice period.
- Click Save.
Setting length-of-stay requirements
You can set a minimum and maximum length of stay for all bookings at your property or set these conditions for specific dates to optimize your calendar and ensure your property is booked just the way you want.
- Sign in to YCS. If you manage multiple properties, select it from Listings.
- Go to Rates and availability >> Booking settings.
- Set the minimum and maximum length of stay you want to apply to all bookings at your property.
- Click Add stay date condition to set minimum and maximum lengths of stay for certain dates.
- Click Save.
