This article will outline the information of how to setup cancellation policy on YCS.
There are two platforms in YCS where you can set cancellation policy:
Cancellation Policy Setup
You are able to add different policies for different periods (eg. for Christmas or New Year’s Eve).
Step 1. Go to Property and click Cancellation Policy Setup
Step 2. Click on Add Cancellation button
Step 3. Select date range, cancellation policy and rate plan that you would like to apply
Step 4. Click Save
In case the policy doesn’t apply anymore you can easily delete by clicking Delete button.
Rate Plan Setup
Here you can set general policy for rate plans regardless of the season (eg. Advance Purchase rate has non-refundable policy)
Step 1. Go to Rates & Availability and click Rate Plan Setup
Step 2. Select Rate plan that you would like to set the cancellation policy
Step 3. Under Basic, search Cancellation policy
Step 4. You can click Select a cancellation policy
Step 5. Choose the policy by clicking to the bullet then click Confirm
Step 6. Don’t forget to Save the rate plan setup.
Cancellation Policy – Important information
If you set more than 1 policy on the same period, the strictest cancellation policy will be applied.
If you do not setup any policies “Any cancellation received within 1 day prior to arrival date will incur the first night charge. Failure to arrive at your hotel will be treated as a No-Show and will incur the first night charge.” will be applied automatically to your property.
