This article will outline all the information that you need to know about our bookings. Agoda provides instant bookings to the guests; therefore it’s important to keep the rates and allotment up-to-date at all times.

We only list your property on our website and app if all of the criteria below are met:

  • The property is bookable
  • There is at least one room available
  • There is rate loaded for available rooms

How to receive confirmation on a reservation

You will receive confirmation of a reservation via:

  1. Email — When a booking is created by the customer, the booking vouchers will also be sent to your registered email address. You can also try searching for the bookings in your mailbox and through your channel manager (if applicable).
  2. Agoda YCS extranet –– To view:
    1. Go to Bookings View Bookings.
    2. Complete all relevant fields.
    3. Click Search.
  1. Channel Manager — If you don’t receive the booking in your PMS, please contact your channel manager and your Agoda Manager for further assistance.

How to acknowledge a booking

Although Agoda bookings are all instantly confirmed, Acknowledge Booking is a step Agoda takes to ensure that property partners are aware of a new booking that has been created. To acknowledge having received a booking, partners may simply leave a remark for confirmation.

  1. Go to the Bookings tab in YCS.
  2. Click View Bookings.
  3. Select your criteria and click Search.
  4. Click on the Pending Acknowledgment tab and a window will pop up and ask for your acknowledgment ID. This ID can be an internal code that your reservations department uses, or any notes, words, or numbers that will help you to identify this booking in your own system — for example, a room number or reservation’s agent name.

Understanding the booking confirmation document

To give you a better understanding of the booking confirmation form, here is a breakdown of what you will see:

How is the total amount calculated?

Agoda does not send any invoices. We deduct the commission from the total amount paid by guests.

  • Reference sell rate (incl. taxes & fees) = Total amount paid by the guest
  • Base rate (incl. taxes & fees) = Total amount without commission

On the right-hand side of the voucher, you can see if there is any other discount applied (promotion, rate channel, etc).

Promotion — 10%
Commission — 20%
