What is UPC on ePass?
- This is a payment method that generates a single-use virtual credit card (UPC) for you to charge for each payment batch consisting of multiple bookings.
- Agoda UPC cards are restricted to charges via POS terminals under 7011 merchant category code (MCC) only, Lodging – Hotels, Motels, Resorts, Central Reservation Services businesses.
- It allows you to create one payment batch for multiple reservations and charge the whole amount from one virtual credit card. Since the card is single-use, the full amount must be charged at once.
- You are required to charge the card within 24 hours following its issuance, or else the card will expire, and you will need to wait 72 hours before reissuing a new card to charge.
- If you are on UPC on ePass payment method, you will be able to see the Finance menu on YCS. You may visit What is ePass? for details on how you can access the Finance menu.
How do I settle payments
- Go to Finance and select Current Transactions.
- Check the Booking Transactions section.
- Bookings displayed under this section will have reached the payment due date and can have the payment initiated.
- All bookings are selected for payment by default at the Approve section. Untick the box if you do not want to include a specific booking in your payment.
- Scroll down on the same page to check the Adjustment Transactions section.
- Bookings displayed under this section have been adjusted by Agoda’s finance team to ensure that the payable value is correct.
- Positive amounts will be displayed in case of partially charged payments, follow-up booking value increases, and other credit items.
- Negative amounts will be displayed in case of overcharges or booking rejection cost.
- Adjustment transactions are mandatory payments and cannot be excluded.
- Click Next to view a summary of your payment amount.
- Click Submit to be directed to a summary page with your credit card details to be charged.
Depending on your role, you will see either masked card details or full card details. Tick the box to acknowledge that you understand the card can be swiped only once and should be fully charged. Press OK to complete the payment process.
All payments that have been approved will be removed from the Current Transactions page. These transactions can be viewed on the All transactions page for your future reference.
If you forget to record the card details, or you would like to review the card and transaction details, you can view it in the Remittances page. Visit How do I Review Past Payments? for more information on how to access the remittance page.
You are required to charge the card in the 24 hours following its issuance, or else the card will expire and you will need to wait 72 hours before reissuing a new card to charge.
How do I settle payments for amended or cancelled bookings?
We will send you an amendment email (with “AMENDED” appearing in the subject line) with an amended hotel voucher attached confirming that a reservation has changed. This updated amount will be reflected immediately for the relevant booking displayed on the Current Transactions page. Proceed to settle following the steps indicated above.
How can I re-issue a new card?
You will need to re-issue a new card if you do not charge the card in the 24 hours following its issuance, and you will need to wait 72 hours before reissuing a new card to charge. To reissue a card:
- Go to Finance > Remittances. The Reissue Card button is orange in color and can be found under the expiry date.
- Select the batch you would like to reissue by clicking on it.
- Click on the Reissue Card button, a new UPC will be generated with new details, and the previous UPC will not be able to be charged.
- To generate a new UPC, you can click on OK button after ticking the checkbox.
The card must be charged within 24 hours of its issuance, else the card will expire again and you will need to wait 72 hours to issue a new card. Reissuing can only be done a total of 3 times, so please ensure the card is charged correctly and in a timely manner.
- Only Card Viewer role is able to see the complete UPC and CVV number.
- Each card can be used only once and should be charged fully. Partial charging of UPC is not possible.
FAQs
There is no limit; however, please make sure you do not exceed your daily credit limit on charged transactions with your acquirer since the card will only be valid for 24 hours once issued.

It is important to understand that you are required to collect payment within the 150-day deadline. You can contact us for assistance.
Unfortunately, the new card will only be available 72 hours after the first issuance. We are not able to manually add a new card.
